Lisa Mateo is a PIX Morning News Features Reporter bringing you the latest on what's happening around town - whether it's flying 30 feet above the ground with Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy or highlighting the tastiest cuisine, hottest music and people making a difference in the Latino community.

Lisa also fills in for Linda Church as weather anchor. She is currently enrolled at Kean University in New Jersey working toward her BS in Meteorology and a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal from The American Meteorological Society.

Lisa got her start in television when she was selected in January 2000 as one of ten Tri-State area students to participate in a weekly "Broadcasting Seminar," a course which covered various aspects of the industry.
